What changes when I move from the X2 46 to the X2 50?
The X2 50 adds a 50-inch fabricated deck, electric blade engagement and a K46 transmission. The X2 46 uses a 46-inch stamped deck, manual blade engagement and a TL-200 transmission. Compare those equipment differences along with the wider cutting path, rather than choosing on horsepower alone.
Why do the engine descriptions mention both Rehlko and Kohler?
Kohler Engines now operates as Rehlko. Cub Cadet identifies Rehlko in its X2 50 overview and lists the Kohler 7000 Series KT724 in its engine specifications. The published engine figures for this mower are 24 HP* and 747cc.
Is the X2 50 a zero-turn mower?
No. It is a steering-wheel lawn tractor with a 16-inch turning radius. Hydrostatic describes its transmission, not its steering geometry. Compare a zero-turn separately when turning within a very small area is a priority.
Will this mower fit through a 50-inch gate?
Do not assume it will. Deck housings, the discharge chute and accessories affect overall width. Measure the unobstructed opening between posts, hinges and latches, then compare it with verified dimensions of the mower in the configuration you will use.
Can I use it for more than mowing?
