Turn Local Purchases Into Local School Support

OUTDOORICA BOOST is a community fundraising partnership that connects qualifying purchases at OUTDOORICA with financial support for participating school booster clubs and school-related nonprofit organizations.
Customers choose the participating school community they want to support. OUTDOORICA handles the qualifying purchase, calculates the eligible BOOST value, reconciles returns, provides quarterly reporting and pays earned BOOST funds directly to the approved booster organization.
Built for the Whole Community

One Program. Benefits for Schools, Families & Local Communities.

Booster Clubs
Gain an additional source of funding without purchasing fundraising inventory or managing customer transactions.
School Administrators
Support an approved booster organization through a structured program with clear rules, tracking, promotion and quarterly reporting.
Athletic Directors
Create another potential funding resource for athletics and extracurricular programs without adding student sales quotas.
Parents & Customers
Support a participating local school through qualifying purchases while choosing between maximum giving or immediate savings.
One Simple Formula

Every Qualifying Purchase Has a 5% Boost Value

At the time of purchase, the customer chooses how that 5% value is used.
What is included in the 5% Boost Value?
For an otherwise qualifying transaction, the eligible BOOST value includes qualifying new or used product sales, installation fees, warranty or service-contract upsells, service charges and repair labor charges.
Sales tax, finance charges, freight and delivery charges are not included in the Boost Value unless OUTDOORICA specifically states otherwise.
Old Hickory storage buildings do not qualify for OUTDOORICA BOOST.

Eligible new and used product sales can be included in the BOOST calculation.
Installation Fees
Eligible installation charges associated with the transaction are included.

The Key to BOOST Success

Local Visibility Turns BOOST Into Local Results

OUTDOORICA can build the program, advertise it and manage the transactions—but the strongest BOOST programs are the ones their school, booster club and community actively keep in front of local families.
BOOST works best as an ongoing community partnership, not a one-time announcement. Repeated visibility helps parents, alumni, students and community members remember to choose their local school when they make qualifying purchases.
Required Partner Visibility Commitment
Link Your School's BOOST Page From the School & Booster Websites
Participating school and booster partners must provide a clear, public and crawlable link to their dedicated OUTDOORICA BOOST page from the booster club website or webpage and from appropriate fundraising, athletics, community-support or resource pages on the school district's website.
Best practice: do more than post a bare URL. Include a short description explaining what BOOST is, how the community can participate and why using the program helps the local booster organization.
1. Give BOOST a Permanent Home
Keep the school's BOOST link visible on official booster, fundraising, athletics or school-community webpages so families can find the program throughout the year.
2. Educate the Community
Explain how BOOST works to parents, students, grandparents, alumni, coaches, staff and other supporters so they understand that purchases and eligible services they may already be planning can help create local support.
3. Share on Social Media
Share the school-specific BOOST page, codes, program reminders and community impact updates through approved booster and school social media channels.
4. Use Existing Communications
Include BOOST in appropriate newsletters, fundraising pages, athletic communications, parent updates, booster communications and other existing community channels.
5. Keep Reminding People
Customers must use their school-specific BOOST code at the time of purchase. Once the purchase is completed, the code cannot be added afterward. Consistent reminders help keep the program top of mind.
6. Share Real Results
When verified quarterly results become available, sharing the local impact helps build trust, excitement and additional participation.
The goal: make BOOST part of the community's normal purchasing conversation. When someone is already considering an eligible purchase or qualifying service at OUTDOORICA, we want them to remember that using their school's BOOST code can also help their local school community.
OUTDOORICA Invests in Promotion Too

A School Booster Club Fundraising Partnership Built for Long-Term Community Support

School districts, athletic booster clubs and school-related nonprofit organizations play an important role in supporting athletics, extracurricular activities, equipment, facilities, student programs and other opportunities. OUTDOORICA BOOST creates another potential source of financial support by connecting qualifying purchases and eligible services with participating local organizations.
BOOST is designed to complement traditional fundraising rather than replace it. There is no individual student fundraising credit, no student sales requirement and no OUTDOORICA participation fee for the approved school or booster organization.
Each participating community receives a dedicated BOOST page that can become a permanent online resource for parents, alumni, local shoppers and community supporters looking for ways to support their school through everyday purchasing decisions.
The long-term goal is to build trusted partnerships among OUTDOORICA, customers, schools, athletic programs, booster organizations, nonprofit groups, parents and communities throughout Central Minnesota.

Frequently Asked Questions About OUTDOORICA BOOST

BOOST is intentionally simple. Open any topic below for additional program details.
Does it cost a school or booster club anything to participate?
OUTDOORICA does not charge an approved participating school or booster organization a program fee. Participating organizations are expected to help promote their local BOOST program through approved school, booster and community communication channels.
What does the school or booster organization need to do to help BOOST succeed?
Successful programs require consistent local visibility. Participating partners should educate parents, students, alumni and community members; share BOOST through approved social media and communication channels; keep the program visible throughout the year; and maintain a clear public link to the school's dedicated BOOST page.
Is the school required to link to its BOOST page?
Yes. Participating school and booster partners are expected to maintain a clear, public link to their school-specific OUTDOORICA BOOST page from the booster club webpage and appropriate school district fundraising, athletics, community-support or resource pages. The link should include descriptive text explaining what BOOST is and how the public can participate.
Does OUTDOORICA promote participating school BOOST programs?
Yes. In addition to creating the school's BOOST page and approved marketing materials, OUTDOORICA will invest in targeted paid social media advertising to help promote participating school district programs. Advertising platforms, timing, targeting, creative and media spend are managed by OUTDOORICA and may vary by campaign.
Do students or families have to sell anything?
No. BOOST is not based on students selling fundraising products, purchasing inventory, collecting customer payments or meeting individual sales quotas.
What is included in the 5% Boost Value?
For an otherwise qualifying transaction, the Boost Value includes eligible new and used product sales, installation fees, warranty or service-contract upsells, service charges and repair labor charges.

Sales tax, finance charges, freight and delivery charges are excluded from the Boost Value unless OUTDOORICA specifically states otherwise.

Old Hickory storage buildings do not qualify for OUTDOORICA BOOST.
Do used products qualify for BOOST?
Yes. Eligible used product sales may be included in the 5% Boost Value when the transaction otherwise qualifies for BOOST.
Do installation, warranty, service-contract and repair charges count toward BOOST?
Yes. For an otherwise qualifying transaction, eligible installation fees, warranty or service-contract upsells, service charges and repair labor charges are included when calculating the 5% Boost Value.
What purchases or charges may still be excluded?
Sales tax, finance charges, freight and delivery charges are excluded unless specifically stated otherwise. Clearance, blowout, heavily discounted, damaged, consignment and certain specially priced transactions may also be excluded from BOOST. Old Hickory storage buildings do not qualify.
Can BOOST be combined with another discount?
Unless specifically stated otherwise, BOOST cannot be combined with other OUTDOORICA coupons, discounts, promotions, blowout pricing, clearance pricing or other specially reduced offers.
When must the BOOST code be used?
The applicable school BOOST code must be used at the time of purchase. Once the purchase has been completed, a BOOST code cannot be added to the transaction.
Can one purchase support more than one school?
No. Each qualifying transaction may use one BOOST code and support one participating school community.
What happens if merchandise or an eligible transaction component is returned or canceled?
Returned or canceled amounts do not generate BOOST donations. A partial return, cancellation or refund results in the applicable BOOST amount being adjusted based on the eligible transaction value that remains.
When does the booster organization receive its donation?
BOOST funds become earned after OUTDOORICA's applicable 30-day return period expires. Earned BOOST funds are distributed to participating booster organizations quarterly.
Who makes the donation?
OUTDOORICA makes the BOOST donation directly to the approved participating booster organization. The customer's BOOST selection determines whether the full 5% Boost Value is donated or divided between customer savings and the OUTDOORICA donation.
How can BOOST funds be used?
BOOST donations support the participating organization's general charitable, athletic, educational or extracurricular mission. Funds are not intended to be credited to individual students, athletes, families or personal fundraising accounts.
Is customer information shared with the school or booster club?
Participating organizations generally receive aggregate BOOST reporting rather than individual customer names, purchase histories, financing information, email addresses or phone numbers.
How does a school or booster club get started?
OUTDOORICA and the approved participating organization establish the BOOST partnership, identify the recipient organization, confirm school or mascot branding authorization, establish the school-specific BOOST page and codes, prepare approved marketing materials and coordinate program launch and ongoing visibility.
