Sven’s Sleeve Glow Wheelhouse Sleeve & Clear Cover: A Better Way to Cover Your Ice Fishing Hole

Upgrade one of the most important areas inside your wheelhouse with the Sven’s Sleeve Glow Wheelhouse Sleeve & Clear Cover. Designed specifically for wheelhouses and permanent ice fishing shacks, this system combines a glow-in-the-dark 9-inch sleeve with a clear Lexan cover that sits flush with the top of the sleeve.

The design does more than cover the hole. It gives the cover support around the sides and bottom, provides a dedicated opening for your fishing line, and adds separate ports for fishing electronics. The result is a cleaner, more functional fishing setup without a raised cover sticking up from the floor.

Package includes: 1 Glow Sven’s Sleeve and 1 Clear Cover. Fish Hole Buddy accessory clips are sold separately when required.

The Glow version gives you all of the functionality of the Sven’s Sleeve wheelhouse system while adding a sleeve that glows after being exposed to light. That makes the outline of your fishing hole easier to identify when the lights are down and the fish are biting.

Easy to Charge

Sven’s recommends placing the Glow sleeve in sunlight for a few hours at the beginning of the season. After that, normal light inside your wheelhouse or your fishing-hole lights can continue charging the glow material.

Charge the sleeve with a UV flashlight or UV hole light when you want to quickly boost its glow before settling in for an evening of fishing.

True-Flush Cover Design

The clear cover recesses into the sleeve instead of sitting above it. That creates a smooth, flush surface designed to reduce the raised edges and trip points associated with some traditional ice-hole covers.

Support Around the Cover

The cover is supported around its sides and underneath by the sleeve. That 360-degree support is designed to keep the cover securely positioned instead of relying only on a narrow edge or lip.

Built for Electronics

A dedicated fishing-line slot is complemented by separate access ports for electronics cables. Keep sonar, camera, and other ice-fishing electronics separated from your fishing line to help reduce unnecessary cord and line tangles.

Heavy-Duty Clear Cover

Sven’s uses a thick Lexan cover with minimal flex. According to the manufacturer, its wheelhouse cover has been tested to approximately 700+ pounds of pressure without breaking or slipping from the sleeve.

Smooth, Line-Friendly Construction

The sleeve and cover are injection molded, and the clear cover uses rounded edges. The design avoids sharp edges around the fishing area that could rub against or damage your fishing line.

Cut It to Your Wheelhouse

The sleeve comes 9 inches tall and can be trimmed to the preferred height for your wheelhouse. That lets you set up the sleeve around the actual floor-to-ice distance of your house.

Important: Check Your Floor Ring Before Ordering

One of the biggest advantages of the Sven’s Sleeve wheelhouse model is its ability to work with the two common floor-ring systems used in wheelhouses. The setup differs slightly depending on which ring you have.

Catch Cover / D-Handle

If your existing permanent hole cover has a large D-shaped handle, you typically have a Catch Cover floor ring. The Sven’s Sleeve is designed to fit this floor-ring system without Fish Hole Buddy accessory clips.

Fish Hole Buddy / T-Handle

If your permanent cover has a T-shaped handle, you likely have a Fish Hole Buddy floor ring. These are commonly found in Ice Castle wheelhouses.

You will need one set of four Sven’s Sleeve Fish Hole Buddy accessory clips for each sleeve. Clips are sold separately.

Sizing Your Sven’s Sleeve

The wheelhouse sleeve is 9 inches tall and designed to be cut to the height that works for your setup. Sven’s recommends lowering your wheelhouse to the ground and measuring from the bottom/frame area up to the top of the floor-ring lip to determine the appropriate finished sleeve height.

Measure your wheelhouse before trimming. Once material is removed from the sleeve, it cannot be added back.
